Head Coach Jason Georgianna

Jason is the head coach of the MMA Team, and teaches Fitness, Boxing, and Jiu Jitsu classes at Art of War.  Jason also offers private/small group training sessions by appointment.  He has an MA in Physical Education, a Certified Functional Strength Coach Credential, a Jiu Jitsu Black belt, and almost 30 years of experience in martial arts and fitness. Jason is a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter with 26 career bouts who posted a 15-10-1 combined pro-am record before retiring.  He has faced some of the worlds best fighters, including UFC vets Joe Benevides, Michael MacDonald, and Ian Loveland. In addition to Jiu Jitsu, Jason has studied Wrestling, Boxing, and Muay Thai Kickboxing extensively. He has been training in martial arts since 1995.  

Jason teaches Mixed Martial Arts, Fitness, Jiu Jitsu, and Boxing classes at Art of War.  With an MA in Physical Education, a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Black belt, and over 20 years of experience Jason offers personal fitness training for weight loss, general health, and sports performance.

Jason is an experienced professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter with 24 career bouts and a 15-8-1 combined pro-am record. He has also been a Mixed Martial Arts coach for 20 years. His bouts have been aired on Comcast Sportsnet and he has faced some of the worlds best fighters, including UFC vets Joe Benevides, Michael MacDonald, and Ian Loveland.  Jason is a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, and has also studied Wrestling, Boxing, and Muay Thai extensively.  He has been training in martial arts since 1995, and has studied under several excellent coaches during that time including: Paul Grilley (Rickson Gracie Purple Belt), National Collegiate Wrestling Champion Matt Paulsen, Allan Manganello (Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jujitsu Black Belt),  Gerald Strebendt (10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Black Belt),  Brent Alvarez (10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Black Belt), USA Olympic Boxing Coach Andy Mincer, Muay Thai Kru Thongsay Sanhtytham, and MMA Veteran Olaf Alfonso.  Jason has trained numerous amateur and professional MMA fighters.

Jason also has an MA in Physical Education, the Certified Functional Strength Coach Credential,  and 20 years of experience as a fitness instructor.

Kru Thongsay Sanhtytham

Thongsay, aka “Kobb”, teaches Muay Thai Kickboxing.  He has been practicing Muay Thai since childhood, has experience competing in Muay Thai, and has 30 years of training and coaching experience. He has been awarded “Kru” status, the Muay Thai equivalent of a black belt. Training with Kobb you will always get a great cardio workout and benefit from his enthusiasm, expertise, and positive energy.  Kobb is considered an elite world class Muay Thai trainer within the Muay Thai community.  Kobb does private lessons and works with competition team fighters.  

Christopher San Jose

Christopher San Jose first joined Art of War under head coach Jason Georgianna in 2010. As an amateur, he achieved an impressive 6-1 record holding two titles in the bantamweight division. He is a retired professional fighter holding a record of 8-2, and is the former CageSport bantamweight champion. Chris is a Black Belt in the Art of War MMA System.  In addition, Chris holds the CFSC certification (Certified Functional Strength Coach) and a Jiu Jitsu purple belt.  Chris teaches Intro MMA,  Muay Thai, and Fitness,  as well as assisting with training the competition team. 

Adam Fugitt

Adam is a professional MMA Fighter holding a 8-2 pro record, as well as being a UFC veteran.  Previously, he held the Pure Combat and  X1 170 titles. Adam also won numerous MMA and Muay Thai titles as an amateur.  He holds a Black Belts in the Art of War MMA system, a Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt, and has wrestled collegiately.  Adam teaches private lessons by appt.

Eric Lundgran

Eric Lundgren has been competing and coaching wrestling for over 20 years. He was born and raised in DuBois, Pennsylvania where he competed at both the team and individual PIAA state tournaments. He finished up his competitive years at Mercyhurst University, a Division II program in Erie, Pennsylvania between 2008-2013.

Vanessa Sexton-Martin

Vanessa teaches Jiu Jitsu classes and is a Jiu Jitsu brown belt. Vanessa is a student of the game and brings a detailed and technical teaching style to her Jiu Jitsu classes.

Rachel Collins

Rachel has trained at Art of War since 2016, is a Jiu Jitsu and MMA blue belt and an active member of the MMA fight team.  In 2014 she was a crisis line responder and nonprofit manager when she organized a monthly self-defense class for women's shelter residents and soon began to participate in the class herself, deciding to study to be an instructor and bring evidence-based verbal and physical self-defense training to as many women as possible.  She also has 8 years of experience providing evidence based verbal and physical self defense instruction.  She holds a level two instructor certification through ESD Global, and graduated from the level three Krav Maga program at RMA Martial Arts.  

She is also a Certified Functional Strength Coach through CFSC and a member of the National Women's Martial Arts Federation.  

Rachel teaches the fitness and womens striking classes at Art of War.

Asa Carlile

Asa has been training at Art of War for the past decade.   He holds the rank of purple belt in the Art of War MMA System, which includes extensive competition experience.  He also holds a Jiu Jitsu purple belt.  Asa teaches Boxing and Muay Thai classes.

Amiri Rivers

Amiri has been training at Art of War MMA for almost a decade and is an active competitor in MMA.  He’s currently undefeated as an amateur, and ranked the #1 Amateur bantamweight in the northwest by tapology.  He holds a purple belt rank in the Art of War MMA System.  


Amiri also holds a Jiu Jitsu brown belt and has competed regularly.  

Amiri teaches Intro MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu classes.
